Secretary
No
report post vacant.
Brian
thanked Christine on behalf of the choir
for her hard work and endeavours in the
past
Treasurer
Income
of £1,076.70 Expenditure of
£1,035.

Musical
Director
David
thanked the choir for the warm welcome he had received on
taking over as musical director also for the hard work and
commitment. He emphasised the need for a recruitment campaign
which will involve
a very simple audition process as we have lost some members.
It will be
a busy year with new music to learn for the new Mass setting.
Graham
suggested
after the choir becomes familiar with this new music we could
offer our
help to parishes in the Diocese.
David
suggested looking at new venues for our Advent and Pentecost
services
e.g. Cathedral and St. Peter's
Crownhill.
Librarian
Helen
does sterling work keeping our music in order; all music
should
be handed to her after each event.
Archivist
Ongoing
- any photos newspaper clippings etc. to be given to
Margaret.
Publicist
Paul has resigned due
to personal circumstances therefore this position is currently
vacant.

.COMMITTEE
Brian announced his
intention, following the notice given a couple of years ago,
of completely retiring from all current duties at the end of
the
choir year in July.
Consequently
a new Chairman and Secretary will be needed, also for the
new posts
of Publicist (following the resignation of Paul Lane) and
Events Coordinator.
Members were asked to consider
volunteering.
The
Planning Team remain as David, Helen, Peter, Chris, Brian
(temporarily) and
Shaun.

MEMBERSHIP

FINANCE
Subscriptions to be
increased to £25
to include the cost of purchasing
music. Members were in agreement.
M.D. and
Accompanist fee to increase, figure not available.
Wedding fees as
before £60
choir £40
organist.
Copyright
licence £38.
40p due soon.
Xmas
card money of £50
will be donated to Our Lady of Lourdes organ fund.
10. MUSICAL
PROGRAMME
Pentecost
format may change to a Taize type service.
Advent
service as before.
Carol singing
did not take place this year, due to lack of response from Longreach
House.
Diocesan events
include Bishop Christopher's Jubilee Chrism Mass, Rite of
Election
and centenary service at St. Austin's Priory.
Practises
continue on alternate Monday and Wednesday evenings at
8pm.
11.
SOCIAL
Summer and
Xmas meal's as before to include an invitation to the
new Parish Priest at Our Lady of Lourdes.
12.
ANY
OTHER BUSINESS
Christmas
card donations and Lenten Prayer Partners as
usual.
Events
Secretary....David felt this was necessary to facilitate
organising events
in the different parishes members asked to consider
volunteering.
Computers....David
strongly advised those with access to a computer to use it as
a practice tool following our
rehearsals.
Social....Graham
informed the members of a production we may like to attend on the Passion to be
performed at Buckfast Abbey or Exeter Cathedral. Members were
keen to attend.
Choir
Logo... Members very happy with this Chris was thanked for his
hard work
in producing this.
Members
were asked to submit ideas for designs to go on the front
covers of our order of service booklets.
Meeting
closed at 8.45pm.
